Ministry Opportunities:
Welcome Center – Staff the Welcome
Center on Sunday morning. You need to be available 15 minutes prior to the service and remain at the Welcome Center 15 minutes
following the service. You may volunteer at either the 8:30 or 10:45 service. ---
Wednesday
Night Meals – Are you willing to donate your time in serving the meal or furnish food such as
a crock pot of spaghetti or a pan of lasagna? We need the food cooked and ready to be served at the church
by 5:30pm. There will be a menu and sign up at the Welcome Center each week. Won’t you please come help
us? (September – May) Contact Deb Ruthruff at 989-224-3978 with questions. Last year we served between
60-100 children and families. ---
Caravan – Beginning September 15th There will be many children coming Wednesday
evenings to Caravan; some without the opportunity for dinner. It would help our Caravan leaders if we had a snack food pantry
in case their schedules are pinched and they cannot bring a snack for their group. If you would like to help by providing
individually wrapped snacks (no peanuts or peanut butter products please) you can bring them to church on Sunday and give
them to Roberta Pennock. ---
School Supplies for Jamaica – We have a team going to Jamaica December 4-11, 2010.
They are providing some school supplies, Christian crafts and teaching over 100 children. A box
in the coat room will be available for donations of crayons, markers, etc. Children Bibles are a real need. Also,
a monetary donation is always appreciated. Mark your envelope Jamaica Team and place it in the offering
plate. ---
Clinton
County 4-H Key Mentors Program - The Michigan State University Extension is looking for mentors. This program is an after school site based program for
teen and adult mentors who are matched with third through sixth grade students who arereferred to the program by their schools. A mentor is someone who listens, supports, encourages, and guides
an individual to increase their competence and potential. To get involved please contact the
Clinton County MSU Extension Office at 100 E. State Street Suite G100 in St. Johns by calling 989-224-5240. You will need
to fill out an application, attend orientation/initial training, and choose a location to mentor at.

Monday Night
Prayer Studying Prayer
and Worship, CD Series taught by Tony Kemp Beginning
September 13th 6:30 p.m. Monday night Prayer will
be starting something new this fall with a half hour of teaching and then we will go into prayer. You do not need to pray
out loud if you don’t feel comfortable. We will listen to a teaching series taught by Tony Kemp bringing heaven to earth
by our prayer and worship to our Lord. You will learn how the supernatural act of prayer and worship can open the heavens
over your life so your needs can be miraculously met. God wants so much for us to give Him our whole heart to love Him
and serve Him for the purpose He created us. Through prayer and worship, the love of God pours out on us, as we pour out our
love for Him. When you sit in His presence just being still before Him, you find such an awesome peace. There is so much anxiety
and stress in the times we are living in. Come and join the Monday night prayer for a time of regeneration through the teaching
of worship and prayer. Taking this time for God will bless you so much; it gives you a boost to take on the rest of the week.
Anyone is welcome to come... men & women. If you have any questions please call Pam Williams 989-224-3564 or e-mail me
pmwill55@yahoo.com.
